Farmhouse
The El Rancho farmhouse is situated in natural surroundings, completely off the beaten track, and accessed by a dirt road of just over 1 km.
Though it belongs to the municipality of Cóbdar, the farmhouse is closer to the village of Albanchez (Almería) — about 5 km — and sits on a 500-hectare estate, surrounded by olive and almond groves, pines and Maquis scrubland. El Rancho is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature.
There are two ways to get to the farmhouse: via the mountain route from the A-1100 (1 km), or from Albanchez along the Rambla del Paulí (4 km). Both routes are dirt roads, so an appropriate vehicle — not too low — is recommended.
The house is powered exclusively by solar energy and is the perfect choice for lovers of nature and swimming, with a semi-Olympic size pool (20 m x 10 m). Water flows continuously into the pool from a natural spring situated on the estate and is not treated with any chemicals (chlorine free). Our commitment to the environment is clear.
There are several walking trails around the estate and the surrounding area, which is also perfect for cyclists, with road and off-road (MTB) routes.
The farmhouse is situated at the foot of the La Virgen mountain pass (1200 m), a little-used road now popular with cycling teams for training purposes.
Bird lovers will find El Rancho the perfect place for birdwatching. The biodiversity of the surroundings, with their characteristic and abundant flora and fauna, are our greatest asset.
